K-12 Schools

School classes learn many of the everyday practices of our ancestors – the common chores they had to perform just to put a meal on the table.
The curriculum is targeted to 3rd grade social studies standards 3.3 historical and community resources and 3.5 basic economic reasoning skills of the local region.

milking_cowVolunteer led activities may include milking AHP’s “contented cows,” making butter, washing clothes, grinding corn, an old fashioned hoop game and museum tour. A ride on a hay wagon and snack complete the morning.
